Impossible…

Three months ago, in an effort to encourage myself, I wrote something on the bathroom wall at uni (they provide white-boards so students won’t destroy the stalls.)

Today, I returned and found a response written beneath what I wrote: “-Thank you!”

One encouraging thought can change a person’s world.

TDUGN Round-up: April

April was decent, May is not.

My hand is crippled with arthritic pain.  I can hardly hold a pencil to draw my course-work assignments for uni, let alone TDUGN.  If I manage to scrape some money together, I can visit the doctor and have my arm/hand progressively diagnosed; but, even if that happens I doubt I can afford medication.  I’m also waiting for my copyright certificate and hope it arrives soon.  That would really cheer me up.

Short-term Goals

  1. Complete Book One
  2. Complete redrawn pages of Book One
  3. Check dialogue for continuity, edit where necessary
  4. Optimise pages for print
  5. Have proof created
  6. Briefly admire proof, shove in drawer somewhere
  7. Complete story-arc for Book Two
  8. Thumbnail, Sketch, Ink, Colour
  9. Take time to complete Book Two, Part I
  10. Attempt to update twice a week

My Complaint to Blick Art

To Whom It May Concern,

I just received my rushed shipment order. Everything that I ordered was included properly, however, the cap to the bottle of Zap-A-Gap super-glue I ordered was broken off and leaked all over my items. I wasn’t aware of this until I picked up an item and my fingers were instantly glued together.

Thankfully, most items weren’t ruined because they had their own packaging, but I don’t have any Zap-A-Gap or skin on my fingers. I would really appreciate it if somehow I could have the Zap-A-Gap replaced free of charge, or at least have my account refunded for the amount it cost.

Typically, when I write complaints I try and infuse a bit of humour.  However, I think the CSR in charge of my account was more disturbed by what happened than amused.  Thankfully, she refunded my account as well as replacing my expensive, and effective, super-glue.

My only gripe now is that it wasn’t sent overnight like my original bottle of Zap-A-Gap.  The reason I paid for overnight shipping was because I needed it the next day. My replacement should have been sent in the same method.

Update: 20 April 2009

I received my Zap-A-Gap replacement and it came without incident.  For my troubles, the CSR apologised for not sending the replacement overnight and explained why it wasn’t.  That was certainly my fault, I should have inquired; but, they are still sending me a coupon for twenty dollars.  That’s really wonderful of them!

But, now… I’m assuming Blick Art reads my blog?(??)
